Styling Polka Dots and Spring dresses

Polka dots are a trend that I’ve been all about. I mainly tend to style things in smaller details such a tights or a top. However, when I saw these dresses I knew I needed to push my self out of my normal neutral style and really take the whole polka dot thing to town.

This navy dress has to be my favourite of the top. Normally I’m not a long sleeve girl, for some reason I just never normally like the way they look on dresses. Yet this dress have completely changed my mind and I’m now here for the long sleeves. I love the fit of this, the neckline is a little low but still modest and the skater skirt takes me back to some old trends but I’m totally digging it. I’ve styled this with my staple white chunk trainers, honestly don’t know how I coped without them. I love how they turn it into a more causal day time outfit, but yet a quick change into some heels makes it the perfect special event or evening outfit.

Being 5’1 the term midi or maxi is often quite daunting. I always picture myself looking like a little girl that’s raided her mums wardrobe. This season has been all about the midi and maxi trend and I’ve been wanting to get into for so long. I’ve finally found the confidence to start wearing things I like and even if they don’t typically go with my body type, I DON’T BLOODY CARE. Now I’m pretty sure this dress is meant to be a midi but it’s definitely a maxi on me. Styling with white chunky trainers yet again, apologises but the chunky trainer trend will never get old, and plus they give me that extra inch. The burgundy is such a gorgeous colour, perfect for both this time of year and the autumn. With learning about sustainable fashion I’m now all about outfit repeating, so definitely expect to see me in this all year round.

The dresses are such lovely quality and the fit is perfect, so go with your normal size for these. I love trying new styles and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

These dresses were kindly gifted to me by AngelEye and they’re part of the wedding guest outfit collection. I’ve personally styled them down, but their two perfect pieces to style up and down to suit any occasion.
