So on Sunday it was my birthday, Horrayy! I turned 19 which is a little crazy considering I still think I am about 16, but nevertheless I had such a lovely day. This year I spent my birthday at Boardmasters Festival, which was absolutely insane (expect a blog post on it soon). I am such a festival girl and spending my birthday surrounded by my best friends I really couldn’t ask for much better.
Being 18 has probably been one of the best years of my life. I’ve had so much fun and met so many amazing people. It’s crazy looking back last year to see how much has changed. As much as it doesn’t seem like much time has passed since I turned 18 it’s absolutely amazing how much can happen in a year. 18 for me really consisted of me developing my confidence and independence. I am so proud of the changes I have made and the new mindset I have developed.
Growing up is always a scary thing, to think that next year I’ll no longer be a teenager. 19 seems so mature and grown up, but in fact I am still neither. As much as I don’t really want to grow up I am determined to make these last few younger years the best of my life.
One of the best things about birthdays is food. I am such a foodie and going out for a meal is one of my favourtie things to do. I love spending time with my family where we all get to sit down together and just have a good laugh and a chat.
This time last year I hadn’t even started my blog and if I am completely honest I really had no thoughts about it. I am so so so glad I did. Writing for me is one of my favourtie ways to get my feelings off my chest and begin to feel a little more positive. What still blows my mind is the fact that my blog can also have a positive effect on others and not just my self. I am so grateful for every positive response I get and really appreciate everyone that reads!
I can’t wait to see what being 19 has for me.
