So I recently did a post about why being single on Valentines is great, and as you will know I have absolutely no plans what so ever.I ran a poll on twitter and a lot of you wanted to see more beauty posts. Having no plans  doesn’t stop me wanting to do some pretty makeup and since I am loving pinks at the moment, I thought I would make a little post about it.

Just a little note, I am no makeup artist and basically have no clue what I’m doing. But I had so much fun doing this post so who really cares?

Eyes

Controversial I know but I always start with my eyes. This way my fall out doesn’t go all over my foundation and make one big mess everywhere.

To prime I use the Urban Decay Primer Potion in original. I got this for Christmas and I’ve complete fallen in love with this. I won’t ramble on about it as every other blogger raves about it but trust me its completely worth the hype. I let this dry for a few minuets as I fill in my eyebrows. Currently I’m using two products, soap and glory brow archery and the sleek brow palette, both in the blonde shade.

In the crease I’m going to start with MAC Girlie, this is a very light pink shade. I take this just under my brown bone and blend it using swirling motions. The brush I used is the Real Technics base shadow brush.

To darken this I’ll take the bright red shade from the Revolution palette and place it in my crease. I do this with the flat brush found in the Urban Decay palette (3rd brush in). I then take my real techniques brush again and blend it out to below the point of the previous color. I also use what ever is left on the brush to take on my lower lash line. I then take the more burgundy shade from the same palette and do the exact same but blend with a angled blending brush from primark (end brush).

Over the lids I used the I heart makeup blushing hearts in peachy pink kisses. Yes I know it’s blush but in my eyes it’s far to sparkly for blush so I use it as a highlighter or eye shadow.

Face

Apply whatever foundation you normally use. I currently am obsessed with the L’oreal Infallible and I am in the shade 120 Vanilla. I apply this with the real techniques beauty sponge. To brighten my under eyes I use the classic concealer of Natural Collection Lasting perfection in Fair 1. To contour I’ve been using the revolution contour and highlight stick. I blend this out with either my sponge of my real techniques cheek brush. I tend to contour my nose as I feel with just foundation over it you tend to lose it, a little definition makes it feel a little more natural.

 To make my face slightly more warm in those areas I contoured I use the Urban Decay bronzer that’s found in Naked on the Run. I use the real techniques check brush for this.

Finishing touches

I line to top of eyes using L’oreal perfect slim liner in super slim. I seriously can’t do eyeliner to save my life but this makes it so much easier. On my waterline I use the Miss Sporty kohl eye pencil in 001. For mascara I use Urban Decay Perversion and honestly this is the most amazing mascara ever and is my holy grail product.

I then take the blusher I used on y eyelips and lightly apply it on my nose and cheek bones to make my face pop a little bit.

Everyone on twitter seemed to love my lips. I am a huge fan of a matte finish at the moment so I used just a lip liner. This colour is 064 Obsession for Rimmel’s Exaggerate lip liner range. The formula is creamy so it’s not drying at all but leaves such a lovely matte finish.

So here is my finished look. I love the colours they are definitely suited to valentines and this makeup is rather simple and nothing too dramatic meaning it can be worn all day.
